Review updates and evolving developments in rheumatology classification criteria, treatments and preventative care for immunosuppressed patients

Learning Objectives


1. Discuss updates to classification criteria and treatments for polymyalgia rheumatica and giant cell arteritis

2. Review recent SLE classification criteria, ANA testing and other relevant serologic work up

3. Consider best practices for preventative medicine for patients on immunosuppression

About the Instructor


Erin Bauer, MD is a Rheumatologist practicing at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle and Federal Way. She is a graduate of the George Washington University Medical School and completed internal medicine residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles before a rheumatology fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles. In 2016 she left Los Angeles to join Virginia Mason. Areas of clinical and research interest include Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, inflammatory myopathies and infectious complications and prevention in autoimmune disease.
